How it works
Deadstock & Dandies buys, sells and trades sneakers at 965 5th Avenue in New Kensington, PA. This is how each part works, on the site and in the shop.
Buying at the price on the wall
A pair with a price shows it on the wall, like $350 or offer. From $110 means its sizes ask different prices and $110 is the lowest; tap a size to see its own.
To buy, open the pair, tap your size, then tap Buy. Choose Instagram DM, text or email, and the message is written for you: the pair, the size, the price and the pair's own link. The shop answers you there. A size with no price takes offers only.
Nothing is charged on the site, and there is no cart. You pay the shop: card, cash or trade.
Making an offer
Every pair takes an offer, priced or not. Open the pair, tap your size, tap Make an offer and type your number. On a priced pair the box starts with a suggested number; change it to yours. An offer at the asking price or more is a buy, so the site points you to Buy instead. Then choose how to send it:
- Instagram DM. Your message is copied and the shop's DMs open: paste it and send. The message also shows on the page, to copy by hand if you need to.
- Text. Your messages app opens with the message written, to (724) 602-8275.
- Email. Your mail app opens with it written, to Deadstockanddandies@gmail.com.
Every message ends with the pair's own link, so the shop knows exactly which pair you mean. Nothing is sent until you send it, and the shop answers you there.
Asking for photos
A pair we have not photographed yet shows a name plate instead. On the pair, tap Photos (or Ask for photos) and the message asking for one is written for you, the same way.
Trading pairs in
Want something off the wall? Put a pair of yours toward it. On the pair, tap Trade: the message says what you want to trade toward and asks to send photos of what you have. Or bring your pair to the shop. We look it over, put it toward the pair you want, and work out the difference.
Selling to the shop
Bring your pairs in during shop hours, or DM or text photos first, and we make you an offer. The Sell page also has a form: the pair, the size, whether you want to sell, trade or consign, and up to four photos. We get back to you by text, DM or email. Photos sent with the form are kept private and deleted after 60 days.
Picking up, and shipping
Pick-up at the shop is free during shop hours: 965 5th Avenue, New Kensington, Tuesday to Saturday, 1 to 7 pm. Closed Sunday and Monday. For shipping, ask the shop.

Card, cash or trade.

- Brand new, never worn.
- VNDS
- Very near deadstock: worn a few times, no visible flaws at arm's length.
- Used
- Worn and honestly graded. Ask for close-up photos of anything that matters to you.
- New
- New with tags.
- Replacement box
- It comes in a box, but not its original one.
- No box
- It comes without a box.
- OFFER
- No price on it. Name yours.
- $350 or offer
- The asking price. It still takes an offer.
- From $110
- Its sizes ask different prices, and $110 is the lowest. Tap a size to see its own.
- Photo coming
- We have not photographed the pair yet, so it shows a name plate with its name and the colors in it. Ask and we will send a photo.
- Sold
- Every size of that pair has sold. Ask about one like it.
