We text two different kinds of message and they work differently. This page explains both and how to stop the second one.
If you make an offer or place a bid, we text you back about that pair. Whether you won, whether we accepted, what it costs, when to come get it. You do not sign up for this and you cannot be on this site without it, because it is just us answering you.
This is the one you opt into. There is an unticked box next to the words "Text me when a new pair goes up. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to stop." If you tick it, we send you a message when something new is up. If you do not tick it, we never send you one, and you still get everything in the first category.

Reply STOP to any marketing text and they end. You will get one message back confirming it and then nothing further. To start again, tick the box again next time you make an offer, or just tell us.
Stopping marketing texts does not stop us replying about a pair you are actually in the middle of buying.
When you tick that box we record your number, the date and time, and the exact sentence you were shown. That record is how we can show you agreed. See the privacy page for how long we keep it and how to have it deleted.
Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Not every carrier or handset behaves the same way. If messages stop arriving, call the shop.
We do not sell it, rent it, or hand it to anybody marketing anything else.
